Good Thoughts For Life
How do you work and take care of your child?
I’m kinda lost, I started back to school last year. Recently we have had some bad weather(snow). What do I do when my daughters school is canceled and mine is not? I don’t have family that can take care of her and her dad works. She goes to a private school so after paying for her schooling, there really isn’t any money to put on other child care. I have been making my classes when she is in school. So what do I do? Do I miss school? My little one always comes first, but I feel I need to get through school, so we can have a better life. Any thoughts would be most helpful.
I went back to college when my daughter was 6 weeks old so I understand your dilemma. It shouldn’t hurt to miss one class, you could contact your professors and find out what you missed and explain (via email) and be prepared for the next class. OR you can check on your campus if they have a toddler/preschool … most usually offer “drop in’s” by availability and students normally have first come on those and its quite reasonable. Good luck!

Shri Namramuni Maharajsaheb’s good journey and good thoughts
Shri Namramuni the youngest Jain saint of Gondal Sampraday is known to be one of the finest and the most innovative saint Jain community has ever witnessed. Pujya Gurudev Shri Namramuni Maharaj Saheb – a 38 years young Jain Muni of Gondal Sampraday was born on 26th Sept. at Nagpur. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister. Since childhood he faced lots of hardships. His journey was like from Nagpur to native Lathi, from Lathi to Delhi at maternal uncle’s place for education back to Lathi, again to Amravati for studies with a job alongside and then to try his luck in the metro Mumbai – a job in Malad & then carron in Kalbadevi.
Namramuni was talented right from the age of 6. Sixth sense awakened when he was only six years. He could predict what was going to happen. He was very kind hearted and cared for each and every living creature’s never hurt even smallest living thing.
However, an incident at a tender age in Bhavnagar led Mahavir to confusion & distraction. The direction of Namramuni’s life changed & his favorite temple became an unvisited place. These thoughts changed with time & Namramuni understood the responsibility of making his family happy & prosperous, for which he accepted every challenge. A job in a lottery store, then in a book stall, to a grocery shop & finally, to test Namramuni’s destiny in this city of Mumbai. This inclination towards religion started declining as he moved his residence in Vasai. Due to the influence around, Namramuni moved towards addiction & fashion.
One night in Namramuni’s dreams, he heard a divine voice saying “Your life is very short, do whatever you want to do.” Namramunie narrated his dream to his mother, a highly religious lady. A shocking dream one night again changed the path of his life “short life span to be used fruitfully” the first rays of sunrise; Namramuni told his mother about his dream and asked her what he should do. She was courageous and as such, instead of ignoring the dream or becoming sad, she rightly advised him to make the most of the life from whatever little time he had at his disposal. She advised him to take Diksha (to leave all worldly things) and make the life worthy. This mom had always wished that one of his 3 sons should take an oath of Diksha & serve the religion & community. She instantly told Namramuni to adopt diksha, this reminded ‘Mahavir’ of his forgotten memories & culture. He went to the Jain temple & poured his heart out to then residing Pujyavara Muktabai M.S. & Pujya Virmatibai M.S. Namramuni went to Jodhpur for religious studies and learnt 32 Agams (Jain Granths) and their meanings. He took Diksha at the age of 21 and became a Jain Saint named Shri Namramuni Maharaj Saheb.
When Namramuni met Tapsamrat Pujya Gurudev.Shri Ratilalji Maharaj Saheb, he was attracted towards his divine love and affection. Namramuni spent one chaturmaas with him and decided that only he can be his Guru. Namramuni devoted his life to serve him and look after him. Namramuni was his best disciple. After his Guru’s death, he felt lonely and preached people about Jainism and taught them, “first you become good human being, you will automatically become Jain”. On the basis of the efforts he put in to spread the religion, he got a degree of “Shashan Prabhavak”.
This is how Shri Namramuni Maharajsaheb started his journey and become one of the most followed Jain monks of all time. Jai Shri Namramuni Maharajsaheb.

LGBT: Is it common for one to become aware of how much a person means to them when things come to an end?
I guess, I’m talking about taking someone for granted in some senses, and with others, not so much.
What I am getting to is that, I’m signing yearbooks of friends, and seeing that emotions and feelings of each keeps surfacing. And because I fear change, I felt like I took so many of these people for granted, and for some of us, our paths last crossed here. But, I suppose change is good. And that change can lead to a better life.
Your thoughts?
Yea, you aren’t wrong.
Change is scary, but necessary.
In time, you’ll probably forget many of the names of those people. They are now part of your past, but still part of you. Your experiences with them helped to mold you into what you are today. So, while you may forget the names, you will never forget the person.
