How is life in Winnipeg?
I'm going to Winnipeg soon. It started with a very good job opportunity. Right now I live in Brantford (Armpit of Canada), Ont. I have not heard anything negative, but Winnipeg (hell hole of Canada, the winter cold + hot summer and the mosquitoes, crime, poverty, annoying, disrespectful people, hello taxes, etc, etc) To be honest with you, I'm a bit of fear (fear instead …). Plz tell me the truth.
It's really unfortunate that everyone does "Bash" Winnipeg. Of course there are many negatives in Winnipeg, as there are for all cities. We have high taxes do not know where it comes from. We have a lot of self-theft, but as in any town, you will learn in the problem area. Our northern end can be a drive is a hardening of the end of the city and I think that's where many of our prejudices is negative. Yes, we have cold winters, dress' em and fine. Yes, summers are hot, it's called an air conditioner, help! 
The last two summers have been taking almost no mosquitoes living in Manitoba. Poverty? Montreal was once called the "poverty capital of Canada" in Vancover and Toronto not behind him and was not really that long. It is true that there is poverty here, but for reasons that are not only unique to Winnipeg. And people are disrespectful? Of course, you will meet some here! But we also have very nice people and friendly here too. I think people like Winnipeg, it is very different from other cities is a bit isolated Canadain in our harsh climate. We are the Door as the West. Our city has been cleaned, has some wonderful cultural events and places to see. We also have some of the best restaurants in Canada, with many different ethnic groups come to us. Corydon Avenue is a pleasure in summer can be the Osborne Village. We have a wonderful zoo, theater, ballet, Rainbow Stage, the forks and the wonderful talent of our population. Try not to leave a bitter taste in the whole world about Winnipeg is in your head. I have traveled across Canada and the United States and Winnipeg is unique and can be beautiful. Do not be afraid!
