dog lovers, the rates of organic dog food right?!?
I recently read about the types of dog food, and decided that I would go with organic or natural dog food for my toy Australian. I do not like things they put in the normal dog food, because they simply do want to eat things like me. (Head, feet, bones, blood, intestines, lungs, spleens, livers, ligaments, fat trimmings, unborn babies ..) Something that does not use the products as well. I just want something organic and good for my pet. I'd like something that would be healthy for her if she may have a good life!
It always amazes me that people believe that slaughterhouse floor scrapings are what dogs are "supposed to eat," and should not have leftovers. When my dog was diagnosed with kidney failure a few years ago (from contaminated dog food I think) the vet put him on a special diet canned it was easier in the liver and kidneys. It was also tasteless and within 2 weeks I could not keep it down. I did some research on protein and lessons milk (if not allergic – and many dogs lack the enzymes necessary to digest cow's milk), eggs (good for adult dogs, but less for the puppies) and chicken are the easiest to digest. With this knowledge, I began to cook the food to him and he still had six months of happy life. I recommend cooking chicken with rice and vegetables chopped, you can pre-cook the chicken a little, or simply cut quite fine, and just throw all the ingredients in a pot of rice.
